FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Roseberys’ first Watches & Luxury Items sale of 2025 will present a curated assemblage of highly desirable timepieces, from prominent brands such as Vacheron Constantin and Heuer, as well as a highly-collectible selection of gold-mounted, gem- and diamond-set Kutchinsky dress watches.
The sale is led by two rare Cartier London wristwatches, in the Tank and Baignoire models. Watches produced by Cartier London are exceedingly rare; the Maison’s horological production took place over only eight years, from 1966 to 1974. The small production window, coupled with the London branch’s forward-thinking design sensibility, makes them significant propositions to collectors. The Tank bears hallmarks for 1972 and the Baignoire for 1967. They are offered at £10,000-£15,000 and £8,000-£10,000 respectively.
A stainless steel and aluminium manual wind dashboard mounted chronograph watch, owned by the late John McClean, will also be offered at £3,000-£5,000. McClean was a well-known member of the Motor Trade in Northern Ireland and spent over 30 years as a privateer Rally driver, taking part amongst others in the Manx International, the Donegal International and the Circuit of Ireland during the late 1960's and 70's.
The Autavia timepieces were touted as the first dash-board mounted chronograph for motorcars, power boats and airplanes. This particular watch is a good Mark II example and was likely presented to and used by Mr McClean for his many racing victories.

Further highlights include an 18ct white gold manual wind Corum wristwatch with a rare feather dial and a collection of watches by Swiss watchmaker and artist, Gérald Genta, often referred to as “the Picasso of watchmaking.” Following the success of the December sale, a further 120 watches by Kutchinsky will be offered.
Roseberys’ first Watches sale of the year features some truly extraordinary timepieces, with significant history. These offerings provide collectors with the rare opportunity to own horological masterpieces that have shaped and influenced modern watchmaking.
