Roseberys London Debuts Luxury Items Auction with Rare Hermès Bags

Roseberys presents a two-day auction of jewellery, watches & luxury items, marking the auction house's first-ever curated luxury items section. This exclusive collection features 25 bags from renowned brands such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Hermès.

The sale showcases rare and highly sought-after Hermès pieces, including two limited-edition bags: the Minuit au Faubourg, crafted from Ombre Desert Salvator Lizard leather with Palladium hardware, and the Lindy Touch 26, made of Vert Clemence leather with a Menthe crocodile strap and Palladium hardware. Additional highlights include classic Hermès staples like the vintage Kelly 32 ( and a brand-new Birkin 25, exemplifying the brand's timeless elegance and craftsmanship.

A notable piece from Chanel is the Métiers D’Art 2020 edition in Pink, presented as a set of four mini bags within a quilted Barbie pink lambskin display trunk. Inspired by a jewellery box, the quilted lambskin case includes a secure lock and key, an in-built mirror, and four compartments, each featuring a miniature version of Chanel's iconic bags.

The watch section features an extensive selection, ranging from historic pocket watches like the William Carpenter verge coach watch (Lot 543), crafted for the Chinese market, to an array of gold-mounted, gem and diamond set dress watches from Kutchinsky.

The auction also includes three coveted Polo model Piaget bracelet watches, which have previously been favoured by celebrities such as Andy Warhol, Nancy Sinatra, and Bond girl Ursula Andress, and more recently worn by Michael B. Jordan and A$AP Rocky. Introduced in 1979, the Polo watch is experiencing a resurgence in popularity (Lots 590, 591, 592).

The first day of the auction features over 400 lots of jewellery. Antique jewellery is well represented, including two convertible tiara/necklaces set with diamonds (Lot 474) and a festive ruby and diamond set star pendant (Lot 447). A key highlight is a private collection of Arts & Crafts jewellery from designers such as the Gaskins, Henry Wilson, Dorrie Nossiter, and Mary Thew. Notably, Lot 94 features a silver and fire opal necklace designed by Edward Spencer for the Artificer’s Guild, with the original design archived at the Goldsmith’s Hall Library.
